Resonance of Fetish Commodities
In July and August 2019, thousands of small porcelain pieces were each hand-cut. On September 11th, 2019 the batch was loaded into the kiln and fired. During the next 4 months, the pieces were each painted gold and fused together on a wall mirror – piece by piece to compose a single 3D frequency pattern. The accumulation of these countless tiny gold painted structures form a collective resonance – a visual pattern which reverberates the aerial views of suburban structural commodities visible below from my window seat.
