CONDUITS & CONGNITION
Conduits & Cognition is comprised of cut Palo Verde branches, hand-formed copper domes, circuit boards and dyed wool twine all coalescing towards a suspended ceramic sculpture. The installation explores perception and the mind working in split-second communication, layering and darting from one perception and thought to another. Bringing to front perceptions of the relationships between microbiological forms and systems as macro as constellations. Creating a dialogue – a balancing act, in tangible form, triggers viewers synapses and invites them to add their own thoughts, memories and experiences. Multiple simultaneous perceptions recorded to reflect the very nature of thought.
