BLACKBOX: LAST SIGNALS
A10ft x 10ft immersive walk-in installation and main feature of the BlackBox exhibition at Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum. Last Signals serves as a reference to the possible paradox that occurs when technological and cosmological systems intersect, diverge and sometimes go awry. Soundtrack in collaboration with and composed by Bryn Corbett.
BLACKBOX Exhibit: Fossilized traces of human detritus are integrated with glowing iridescent skins inlayed with two distinct pattern systems – the sign symbols of nature associated with sacred geometry and the technological pattern systems of motherboard circuitry. This fusion of these two distinct elemental codes help to create surreal fossilized structures that emit what feel like the last codes and signals of a now distant utopian future while offering a unique visual integrated vocabulary of constellation-based formations.
